Description
I finally finished this drawing!!! It has taken 19 days (a little bit each day) with about 3 days break throughout the entire project. I am quiet happy as to how it turned out, it is my best drawing to date I'd say. I would have uploaded it earlier but I got distracted, sorry
The drawing is of a injured British soldier (hence the title )being treated beside a railway track (I didn't draw the tracks as they appeared further left in the original picture). I only really focused on the soldiers/medics surrounding the injured soldier, there were a few other soldiers in the original picture who I didn't draw.
I do not own the original picture nor do I know who took the original picture, who the soldiers in the picture are or the date/time/location/etc. of this picture. This is a link to the original picture:old-photos.blogspot.co.nz/2007…
Tools:
The soldiers were done in soft, medium and extrahard Cretacolor Nero pencils (Nero is an oil based charcoal, I didn't know it existed until I googled it ) and the ground was done with a mixture of vine charcoal and Nero pencils. I also used a blending stick, kneaded eraser, an electric eraser (I love that thing ) and a normal eraser. The drawing is approx. 32 x 25 cm
Well done you!
